Abby Goyea

Abby Goyea was born and raised in Pittsboro, North Carolina. As a child she was engrossed in her grandfather's National Geographic magazines. Visual by nature, she pursued an education at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Filmmaking, concentrating in cinematography.
She has amassed a body of work focusing on the transition from girlhood into adulthood, accented by a candid, documentarian style that reflects her own coming of age experience. Based in New York, Abby continues to capture visuals that hold close the joys in adventure, nature, and friendship - all through her lens.
